It Will Take Another Generation to Fix Edo State

Every one has been yearning for a positive change in the wellbeing of the 'health' of Edo State, as Edo State has been 'sick' over the years, as a result of the fact that, those that have over the years been saddled with the responsibility of fixing the mess and give the people a better life, in terms of responsive representation, that creates enabling environment for businesses to thrive so that people's standard of living can be upgraded, have all along been deceiving the people with cosmetic so called projects that hardly stand the test of time; yet, every political season, they gather miscreants who they have deliberately impoverished, give them peanuts, to clap for them and hail them into power.

This has always been the trend, which is why Edo state has remained in this sorry state of quagmire for a long time now.

For all I care, they can continue in their criminal activities, but they must be reminded that; Every injustice done to man, will be rewarded, if not by man, definitely by God...

Fast-forward to Edo 2024 Governorship election...when hopes went high that people with genuine intentions, the likes of Ambassador Professor Martin Uhomoibhi, OFR, Professor Osunbor, and a host of other well meaning intellectuals that have the requisite experience, national and international connections to turn things around for good, indicated their interests in contesting for the number one position of the state, but alas, they were all schemed out of the race by the enemies of the general well being of the people, who only care about their selfish interests. History is taking note of all of them, and when the time comes, they will be made to account for the evil they committed on the people of Edo state.

Just like Jesus was condemned by the people who rather preferred for the hardened criminal, Barnabas, to be released to them, so also it is in the 2024 Edo gubernatorial SELECTION process, with the exception of what played out in the All Progressives Congress, APC, where the people vehemently stood against imposition of a preferred Candidate by Oshiomhole. This was witnessed in both of the major parties, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

It will take a generation of honest, sincere and patriotic Edo citizens to fix Edo State, not the crop of gluttonous, sick so called leaders who do not care about the plight of the people. They prefer to put the people in a permanent position of lack and want, so that, every four years during political era, such as the one we are currently in, the people can be bought with peanuts and used to do their dirty jobs of destructions of properties, maimings and killings of their opponents.

For all I care, they can continue in their criminal activities, but they must be reminded that; Every injustice done to man, will be rewarded, if not by man, definitely by God... No wonder many of such people are afflicted with mysterious illness and deaths, after which everything they criminally acquired, eventually dissipates into the thin air...look around, you will find several examples around you.

Finally, it's a tall dream to think Edo state will be fixed by the crop of people in control of the polity in the state today, as it will take another generation to fix Edo state.
