Edo Speaker condems Police extra Judicial killings       Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Victor Sabor Edoror, has condemned the way and manner the security agencies in the state extrajudicially kill people in the state. He made this condemnation when the Conference of Non-Governmental Organisations (CONGO’s Edo State), staged a protest to Edo State House of Assembly over the death (in the custody of the Nigeria Police) of Mr. Benson Obode, a 26 years old man who hails from Ubierumu Oke, Uromi in Esan North East local government area of Edo State. The Speaker, who berated the high rate of Police extra judicial killings in Edo state in particular, and Nigeria in general, also said; ‘in as much as we totally frown at the rate at which people commit crimes in the state, it is also wrong for the police to take the laws into their hands without following the due process…’ The President of the organisation, who was also the spokesperson, Mr Obasanmi Jude, said
                                         EDO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY TO VENTURE INTO AGRICULTURE     Edo State House of Assembly, EDHA, will soon venture into the cultivation of crops and rearing of animals as a way of contributing its quota to increasing the production of food in Edo State.     This revelation was made by Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Victor Edoror when the concerned Staff of Edo State College of Agriculture Iguoriakhi in Ovia South Local Government Area paid him a courtesy visit to congratulate him on his election for a second term as well as his ultimate election as a Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly.     Speaking, the Vice President, Academic Staff Union of the Institution, Comrade Otabor Felix, requested the Speaker to use his office to influence the setting up of a College of Education in Edo Central, saying there is need for a substantive provost who is knowledgeable in administrating the Office, to be appointed for the College of Agriculture
