It gained some traction with the advocacy of Professor Yemi Osinbanjo  SAN, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Whistle blowing is an attempt to stop something bad that someone is doing, especially by bringing it to the attention of other people, and the public. There is no known law that regulates the concept of whistle blowing in Nigeria. It is therefore left to the whims and caprices of the operators of the Nigerian Government.
