EDHA OPENS CANS OF WORMS, EXPOSE THE CLANDESTINE ACTIVITIES OF EDO GOVT. By: Oriaifoh Godwins On Wednesday, September 9, the Edo State House of Assembly exposed the clandestine and frivolous activities of the government of Edo State, when during plenary, the House denied approving the sum of N1.56billion naira loan for the Godwin Obaseki led government of the State. Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje, the Deputy Speaker of the House, who represents, Akoko Edo II constituency, under matter of personal exploration, said; " … the Mr. Godwin Obaseki led government has succeeded in completely killing the principles of separation of powers… the government operate like a totalitarian administration, everything is done within the Government House, the House of Assembly Premises has been denigrated, and the seven dissident members of the House, who have been compromised, are currently hiding in the Government House, and claiming to be carrying out legislature functions…" Hon. Victor Edoror, on Wednesday, 9 September, has called on the people as well as those resident in Edo state, to vote for a Candidate that respects the Rule of Law, so as to enhance peace, tranquility, progress and development of Edo state. Edo 2020 Guber: ...be law abiding... Speaker, EDHA By: Oriaifoh Godwins The Speaker, Edo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Sabor Edoror during the plenary held today, Tuesday September 1st, urged all Edolites as well as those resident in Edo state to be law abiding and avoid any act that may undermine democratic principles and practices before, during and after the September 19 Edo gubernatorial election. Speaking further, Edoror said; "...we must put right the wrongs that has so far been done to our dear state by conducting ourselves in a peaceful manner to ensure a hitch free election...." It would be recalled that, for some time now, Edo state has always been in the news for the wrong reasons, thereby making the state a laughing stock amongst the comity of democratic states.
