The Speaker, Edo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Sabor Edoror during the plenary held today, Tuesday September 1st, urged all Edolites as well as those resident in Edo state to be law abiding and avoid any act that may undermine democratic principles and practices before, during and after the September 19 Edo gubernatorial election.

Speaking further, Edoror said; "...we must put right the wrongs that has so far been done to our dear state by conducting ourselves in a peaceful manner to ensure a hitch free election...."

It would be recalled that, for some time now, Edo state has always been in the news for the wrong reasons, thereby making the state a laughing stock amongst the comity of democratic states.

Thereafter, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje representing Akoko Edo l, moved the motion for adjournment, and Hon. Washington Osa Osifo who represents Uhumwode constituency, seconded. The sitting was thereafter, adjourned to 9th of September.
