 Thuggery At Tribunal Venue:

Again, Governor Okpebholo Displays Humane, Rational Leadership Quality

By: Oriaifoh Godwins

An All Progressive Congress, APC, chieftain in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo state,  Chief Robert Okoinemen, aka Oduma Of the Universe, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his maturity, restraints and rationality in responding to the questionable activities of thugs and a DSS personnel at the premises of the Edo governorship election Tribunal holding in Benin city.

According to reports the DSS personnel, is attached to Asuelimen Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the 2024 gubernatorial election.

Speaking, Chief Robert Okoinemen, said; "I think all these are happening to test the preparedness of Governor Monday Okpebholo for the job of the governor of Edo state, especially bearing in mind that, Edo state is just coming out of an autocratic, callous and insensitive administration.

"No APC person will dare what those PDP thugs did in Benin city, during the time of Obaseki. Or have we forgotten so soon, how Inspector Akor, a mobile Police Officer attached to Senator Monday Okpebholo's security detail was brutally murdered at the Benin Airport, by PDP thugs?

"I am greatly impressed by Akpakomiza's display of calmness, which goes a long way to show that we now have an administration with a human face in Edo state. For me, Governor Monday Okpebholo's calm response, is a display of maturity, rationality and tact. Above all, it also shows that, Governor Okpebholo is focused more on governance, and he is seeing all these disturbances and

thuggery as distractions. Who knows, it might be a deliberate attempt by the lovers of violence, the lovers of rascal government, that displayed executive rascality, just like the one we experienced in this state, to create crisis and smear Okpebholo's name in the mud".

Again, speaking on the alleged disturbances of 'Agberos' in Benin metropolis, Chief Okoinemen said; "I took time to investigate what transpired, I discovered that, some faceless individuals who were disappointed that, Obaseki's Candidate, Asuelimen Ighodalo, lost the election, are the ones trying to give Akpakomiza's government a bad name.

"Those guys should be careful, because, very soon, the arms of the law will catch up with them".

It will be recalled that, sometime last week,  a video of some PDP thugs shooting sporadically into the air, while shouting; "give us our mandate", and another video where Asuelimen Ighodalo's thugs engaged some persons in a physical combat, within the precinct of the venue of the Tribunal, went viral on social media.
