On Sunday 10th May 2026, the people of Edo State, and indeed Nigerians and the world at large, received with rude shock the barbaric murder of a student called Alex Omoijiate, a University of Benin student who was said to have just finished writing his exams. When I saw the lifeless bullet riddled body of the guy, sitting behind the steering of the Mercedes GLK vehicle, the first thing that came to my mind is: "What a wicked world !". How can anybody do this to a fellow human?
