HONOURING SACRIFICE, SUPPORTING VICTORY: A NATIONAL CALL TO STAND WITH OUR SECURITY FORCES

CENTRE FOR WOUNDED SERVICEMEN AND FALLEN HEROES SUPPORTS FUND (CFWS&FHSF)

HONOURING SACRIFICE, SUPPORTING VICTORY: A NATIONAL CALL TO STAND WITH OUR SECURITY FORCES.

At this critical moment in our nation's history, the Centre for Wounded Servicemen and Fallen Heroes Supports Fund (CFWS&FHSF) calls on all patriotic Nigerians to unite behind our brave security forces in the collective fight against insecurity.

Let us call a spade a spade. By our objective analysis, the nation's security architecture under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, OFR, and the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, continues to record remarkable efforts in confronting the numerous security challenges facing our beloved country.

We must pause and reflect on what Nigeria would have become if our military and security agencies were not standing firmly on the frontlines. Banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, insurgency, and other criminal elements would have overwhelmed many communities. Yet, day and night, our gallant servicemen and women stand between law-abiding citizens and those who seek to destroy our peace.

The recent desperation of criminal elements should not discourage us. Rather, it should strengthen our resolve and confidence that sustained military pressure is yielding results. The enemies of peace are fighting hard because they know their days are numbered.

Today, we remember the wounded servicemen who carry the scars of sacrifice and the fallen heroes who paid the ultimate price so that millions of Nigerians may live in safety and hope. Their courage can never be forgotten, and their sacrifices must never be in vain.

We therefore call on all Nigerians, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation, to support our security forces through cooperation, intelligence sharing, prayers, and unwavering patriotism. National security is a collective responsibility.

The Centre expresses profound appreciation to General Christopher Gwabin Musa, OFR, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, and all officers and personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies for their dedication, resilience, and commitment to the defence of our nation.

May Almighty God continue to guide them, protect them, strengthen them, and grant them divine wisdom as they work tirelessly to restore lasting peace and security across Nigeria.

Together, we shall overcome insecurity.

God bless General Christopher Gwabin Musa, OFR.

God bless Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu.

God bless our wounded servicemen and honour the memories of our fallen heroes.

God bless the Nigerian Armed Forces and all security agencies.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Much Ado About Uniben gate killings .... Nemesis? or...?

Much Ado About Uniben gate killings  .... Nemesis? or...? By: Oriaifoh Godwins. On Sunday 10th May 2026, the people of Edo State, and indeed Nigerians and the world at large, received with rude shock the barbaric murder of a student called Alex Omoijiate, a University of Benin student who was said to have just finished writing his exams. When I saw the lifeless bullet riddled body of the guy, sitting behind the steering of the Mercedes GLK vehicle, the first thing that came to my mind is: "What a wicked world !". How can anybody do this to a fellow human? Hours later, the social media was awash with how quiet and easy going, the guy was, some persons expressed same sentiment that I expressed, the first time I saw the video, but the following day, stories behind the killings began to emerge. I have been telling those that care to listen, that; "every action definitely has an equal and opposite reaction", but many think it's just a 'stray talk'; however, t...
