FAKE PASTOR JAILED 7YEARS FOR M59. 7M FRAUD

 N59.7m Fraud: Court Jails Pastor Seven Years In Lagos Justice Sherifah Solebo of the Special Offences Court siting in Ikeja, Lagos has convicted and  sentenced  Cletus Ilongwo, Presiding Pastor, Power of the Holy Ghost Evangelical Ministry, to seven years in prison for N59.7m fraud. Ilongwo was first arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on November 5, 2018 on  11-count charges , to which he pleaded "not guilty". He was subsequently re-arraigned on June 16, 2022 on an amended seven-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of N59.7million. One of the counts reads: "Cletus Ilongwo, on or about the 29th day of January, 2016, at Lagos, within the Ikeja Judicial Division, dishonestly converted to your own use the sum of N10millon, being money received through your Zenith Bank account from Obinna Ezenwaka meant for the purchase of the property situated at No 165c, Block 12, Diamond Estate,

YAHOO TRAINING SCHOOL IN BENIN, OPERATIVES, TRAINEES ARRESTED

 Yahoo Training schools in Benin, Operatives,Trainees arrested By Our Reporter Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested two alleged owners of centres in Benin, Edo State, where students are coached on internet fraud. Seven suspected internet fraud trainees were also apprehended at the facilities. The suspected operators of the centre are Osagie Ogiemwonyi and Onukwugho Favour. The arrests were made following actionable intelligence. The seven suspected trainees were identified as Destiny Ohikwugbe, Chata Okoro, Ighodaro Omede, Ehigie Idemudia, Lawrence Daniel, Raymond Ogiemwonyi Oghosa and Henry Philip. Items recovered from the suspects include a Mercedes Benz GLK, Lexus 350, phones and laptops. The EFCC said investigations are ongoing and the suspects would be charged to court in due course. NIGERIA INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT, IS N26, 000 IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT MAINTANS

Nigeria International Passport Is N26,000  Nigeria Immigration Service(NIS) has expressed concern that Nigerians are still paying so much to get an international passport. It has therefore called on Nigerians to stop paying more than the stipulated price. This advice was given on its website. NIS also provided contact information, email addresses, and advice on how to report officers who are demanding for extra money to obtain the international passport booklet.

 LASMA CAUGHT ON CAMERA BREAKING TRAFFIC LAWS  The officials of the Lagos state Traffic Management Authority, LASMA, auctioned over a hundred cars that were confiscated for driving against the traffic, and some of the owners of the vehicles were seen crying to Nigerians for help as they don't have the money to pay to reposess their vehicles, which to some of them, is the only source of income for their family. A pathetic scenario, was the case of a young man who after his vehicle was confiscated, he was arraigned before the court and sentenced to three months in prison, and since he had no money to pay for the fine option, he decided to serve the sentence. According to the young man, his child died even when he was in prison. Yet, his vehicle was auctioned to him for #470,000 (four hundred and seventy thousand naira).
