LASMA CAUGHT ON CAMERA BREAKING TRAFFIC LAWS
The officials of the Lagos state Traffic Management Authority, LASMA, auctioned over a hundred cars that were confiscated for driving against the traffic, and some of the owners of the vehicles were seen crying to Nigerians for help as they don't have the money to pay to reposess their vehicles, which to some of them, is the only source of income for their family.
A pathetic scenario, was the case of a young man who after his vehicle was confiscated, he was arraigned before the court and sentenced to three months in prison, and since he had no money to pay for the fine option, he decided to serve the sentence. According to the young man, his child died even when he was in prison. Yet, his vehicle was auctioned to him for #470,000 (four hundred and seventy thousand naira).
Nigeria will remain in this state of quagmire as long as our law makers and enforcers continue to break the very laws they are meant to protect.
The guy seen in the video, blocked the LASMA officers from continuing on a one lane.
The video tells it all...
