By Oriaifoh Godwins

Speaker, Edo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Sabor Edoror, in his inaugural speech, has reminded the members of Edo House of Assembly of the need for them to
Honourable Victor Edoror
be ‘Working Legislators’.
In his inaugural speech, Edoror said; ‘…As you are all aware that I am popularly known as and called “The Working Legislator” in my constituency, Esan Central Local Government Area, I look forward to seeing more “Working Legislators” before the end of the 6th Assembly.

Speaking with Nigerian Pilot Saturday, after his inauguration, Rt. Honourable Victor Edoror emphasised that the days of arm chair representation is over, and over for good; saying, as a representative of a constituency, the people have entrusted him with a responsibility, as such, he must strive to ensure that he delivers the dividends of democracy to his people more than what he has done before now.

He said, ‘...I challenge those that represented my constituency in the past to point to things they did to add values to the lives of the people that entrusted them with the responsibility of representing them. I have touched the lives of the youths, the women and men in my constituency with the different projects that I have attracted to the constituency, not to talk of those that I sponsored with my personal finances; the evidence are there; which is why they call me the working legislator’. He said.
