MUDIAME UNIVERSITY TO HOLD FIRST MATRICULATION

Mudiame University to hold first matriculation

The official commissioning and  maiden matriculation ceremony of Mudiame University, Irrua, has been scheduled to hold on the 18th of June, 2022 at the campus of the University, in Idumabi-Irrua. 


Speaking with Esan Magazine correspondent, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ernest Izevbigie said, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, will be the Special Guest of Honour at the event adding that, students has been admitted into the Faculty of Engineering, including Departments of Mechanical, Computer and Civil Engineering. 



In  the Faculty of Science, the Vice Chancellor said, students will be matriculating into the departments of Food science and Technology, Biotechnology and Computer science. The Vice Chancellor however added that, for now, the University is yet to admit any student into the Faculty of Arts nor social sciences.


It will be recalled that the Vice Chancellor made it clear that the University is poised to offer automatic  and unconditional employment to its top graduating students, irrespective of their course of study, otherwise, the University will undertake to pay the salaries of such graduates until such a time when he or she eventually gets a job. It is a new innovation and it is a guarantee, He said.



On what to expect on the day of the commissioning and maiden convocation of the University, Professor Izevbigie said; "...sure, the highlight will be the presence of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and probably coming with the Minister of Power, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN)".
