The Coordinator, Edo state Tradomedical practitioners, Esan west Chapter, High Chief Tunde Abu, aka Ominimini, has emphasized that, Edo state Tradomedical practitioners are not killers, but healers.

Chief Tunde Abu, aka Ominimini, a Tradomedical practitioner based in Ekpoma, Esan west local government area, who is also the Coordinator, Edo state Traditional Medicine Board, for the local government, made this clear in an exclusive chat with our reporter at the Esan West local government area Council Secretariat, when the Chairman, Board of Governors, Edo state Traditional Medicines Board, TMB, High Chief Abudu Ugbesia, and members of his Board, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the local government council, on Monday, 14th July 2025.


Speaking, Chief Ominimini, said; "...contrary to what is reported in some states that, Traditional Medicine practitioners and native doctors were caught in the act of engaging in human sacrifices, such practice should not be identified with us..."


"From his action so far, Governor Monday Okpebholo has proven that he is interested in the activities of Edo state Traditional Medicines Practitioners. He has appointed a Chairman for the Board and also promised to train 600 birth attendants, so they can work hand in hand with the orthodox  Medicine practitioners.


Chief Ominimini who advised all the native doctors and Tradomedical practitioners under his watch, to distance themselves from the use of human parts for any purpose, kidnapping and all such negative practices, also used the opportunity to call on all Traditional Medicine Practitioners in Esan West local government area, to ensure that they obtain their license to practice.
