Disregard Forces Of Darkness In Ambrose Alli University

OPINION Disregard Forces Of Darkness In Ambrose Alli University By: Imoudu Peter Since the Selection Panel for the appointment of a new substantive Vice Chancellor began its assignment, our beloved university, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, has witnessed a recrudescence of the evil machinations of these seemingly entrenched forces of darkness.  Social media and a few nondescript media outlets have been awash with their odious, scurrilous, insensate and markedly false publications. Who are these desperados and what exactly do they want? It must be anything but the over all well-being and best interests of our great University.  Masquerading under faceless groups and anonyms, these media rats have been calling out the name of our most illustrious former substantive Vice Chancellor, Professor I.A. Onimawo and spewing absolute gibberish! What has the poor former VC got to do with the Selection Panel’s remit over the appointment of Principal officers for Ambrose Alli University?...

NIGERIA IS UNDER SIEGE? It Is No Longer At Ease

NIGERIA IS UNDER SIEGE? It Is No Longer At Ease By: Oriaifoh Godwins The Bible says; ” when men slept, the enemies came to plant weeds…..” it is on this premise that I want to call on Nigerians, particularly everyone that have the ability to think deep, to the impending attack on our peaceful existence as a people. Our peaceful way of life is being disrupted by the so called Fulani terrorists, bandits, Jihadists, etc. yes, they came under various names, but the truth remains that they have one mission: unleash fears on the people, pursue them out of their ancestral homes and occupy same. they did  it in Jos and they did it in Southern Kaduna; Ilorin, the capital of Kwara state f...

INEC Shocks Ighodalo, PDP, Closes Case Without Calling Witness

INEC Shocks Ighodalo, PDP, Closes Case Without Calling Witness …ADP, ZLP, APM, AP, AA, Set to Withdraw to Stamp Okpebholo’s Victory By Sebastine Ebhuomhan Thursday, 6th February, 2025. Abuja. The Election Petitions Tribunal continued its hearing of the Edo State governorship election petitions on Thursday at the National Judicial Institute (NJI), Abuja, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) closing its defence in the petition: EPT/ED/GOV/02/2024, as promised, but without calling any witness for testimony, as expected. Like a thunderbolt, the move by INEC that jolted the over 15 Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN) and more lawyers representing Dr. Asuerinme Akintunde Ighodalo and his platform, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), confirmed the fears of Ighodalo, a lawyer too, who had fearfully walked out of the tribunal with sealed lips the previous day, Wednesday. The decision continued the reverberating surprises that have defined the tribunal hearings since its...
