By Godswill Inegbe.

*BENIN~* The Edo state All Progressives Congress, APC, Caretaker Committee, State Vice Chairman [Edo Central], Chief (Dr) Francis Inegbeniki has promised to do whatever it takes within the ambit of the Nigeria law, to support Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, to reposition the party. Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, POI, as he is fondly called by political associates and followers, was the governorship candidate of APC, during the September 19th governorship election in Edo state.

Speaking on sunday during the inaugural meeting of the leaders of Edo Central APC, after his appointment as the Vice Chairman [Edo Central] of the State Caretaker Committee, Chief Inegbeniki thanked the leadership of APC for finding him worthy to serve on such exalted capacity.

He said that, the party will be better off now, with the exit of the sponsored saboteurs who were paid to destroy the party, but, failed woefully due to the resilience and tenacity of the vast genuine members.

The APC chieftain assures the leaders, that, through pragmatic leadership style of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the party will be reposition and strategically equipped to take over the governance of the state.

He further cautioned the leaders against engaging in undemocratic practices, acts of  insubordination to rules and procedures of the party, that are capable of causing disaffection among members.

He reassure the leaders that his tenure as the state vice chairman [Edo Central], will promote discipline and true democratic ethos, which he believes will enhance and strengthen the political architecture of the party, and as such make the party more formidable, at the senatorial district and in the state at large.

Chief Inegbeniki carefully laid emphasis on democratic principle of ensuring, that, the minority will always have their say, while the majority will always have their way.

The APC Caretaker Committee State Vice Chairman, counsel the leaders against wrong practice in appointing members of the Caretaker Executives at the local government level and the ward level. He advise the leaders to strive to consider and appoint members, based on merit, proven capacity to deliver, and of-course, unadulterated loyalty.

It will be recall that, at the behest of the power and authority of APC National Caretaker Committee Chairman, His Excellency, Mai Mallam Buni, Col David Imuse, the Edo APC State Caretaker Committee Chairman, inaugurated Edo APC State Caretaker Committee, on 16th of December 2020, in the state secretariat of All Progressive Congress, APC, in benin city, Edo state.
