An All Progressive Congress, APC, Chieftain in Edo central Senatorial district of Edo state, Hon. Peter Eboh Osemudiamen, has commended the leadership and members of Esan Liberation Movement, for their protest against the failed portions of the Ekpoma axis of Benin/Auchi highway that was held on Monday, the 22nd of August, 2022.

Hon. Eboh said the leadership and members of Esan Liberation Movement has done the right thing in bringing the horrible state of the highway to the notice of the state and federal governments.

He said, the deplorable condition of the failed portions of the Ekpoma-Irrua-Ewu axis of the Benin/Auchi highway is indescribable as the people of Edo central are always at the receiving end.

Describing the current state of the Ekpoma-Irrua-Ewu axis of the Benin/Auchi highway as 'sorry and 'despicable', Hon. Eboh urged every other Esan group to follow the example of Esan Liberation Movement in ensuring that the message gets to the appropriate authorities in clear terms.

Continuing, Hon. Eboh said; '...people of Esan land in general and Ekpoma in particular, often face needles pains as a result of the experience they go through daily due to the failed portions of the Benin/Auchi highway. He however called on the contractor responsible for fixing the road to as a matter of public urgency, do the needful as quickly as possible, saying the action of such erring contractor is capable of tarnishing the image of the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress.
