Osazee Edigin's Uninformed article About EDOGIS By: Tunde Eigbiremolen The attention of the  Management of Edo State Geographic Information Service,(EDOGIS) has been drawn to the tissue of lies and misinformation about the operations of the Agency,  written by one Osazee Edigin,  titled:  "EDOGIS IN RETROGRESSION"  in which he displayed his crass ignorance and poor understanding of what currently obtains in EDOGIS. Nothing can be farther from the truth . As a matter of fact,  his claim that some appl

NYESOM WIKE: A FIGHT FOR ETHNOREGIONAL JUSTICE

NYESOM WIKE: A FIGHT FOR ETHNOREGIONAL JUSTICE  Opinion  by Washington Osa Osifo, Ph.D.  The Governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON is fighting an internecine war of wits. To many Nigerians, given the explicit conspiratorial events that played out during and after the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Convention, the explosion of a caldron of Governor Wike’s repressed anger and consequent brinkmanship is understandable. To some others, the quarrel may be justified but it has been taken too far. It is the reason why some have scurrilously lampooned the Governor for his pertinacity. Supporters and sympathizers of the embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Sen. Iyocha Ayu, are mostly of this school of thought. You can’t blame anyone. Opinions are free and often laced with biases but facts are sacred! Nigerian politics from inception have often than not been colored and constricted by ethnicity and regionalism. Both have severely stunted our polit

According to the young man, his child died even when he was in prison. Yet, his vehicle was auctioned to him for #470,000 (four hundred and seventy thousand naira). Nigeria will remain in this state of quagmire as long as our law makers and enforcers continue to break the very laws they are meant to protect.  The guy seen in the
